Testimony
Growing up in Louisiana as a preacher’s kid, I have always been surrounded by people of faith. I’m extremely grateful that God gave me Christian parents who shared and lived their faith. When I was about eight years old, God convicted me of my sin, and I ask him to forgive my sins and be my Lord and Savior. I was baptized by my father. It has been my desire from that time for God to be glorified in my life. I have remained active in a local church all my life, serving in various capacities. As a mother, I have endeavored to instill the same faith in my children.
One of my favorite scripture verses is from King David, “ Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name” (Psalms 86.11).
Teacher BIO
I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 1986. After college, I moved to Texas to work for a local defense contractor as a software engineer. I married my husband Charles in 1988. After nine years in the corporate world, I felt God calling me home to be a full-time wife and mother. We have four children that I educated at home from 1996 to 2017. We started attending THEO in 2010. My children completed Cornerstone Curriculum’s Worldviews of the Western World program at THEO while I graded for Mrs. Stewart and/or Mr. Yandell for six years.
I began teaching at THEO in 2011 with Saxon 76. I added Starting Points in 2013, World History and Geography in 2015, Human Geography in 2017, and Worldviews I in 2020.
