The saying at THEO has always been many hands make light work. And now, we are hoping you can lend us a hand.
The THEO family went on an odd journey during the calendar years of 2018 and 2019 when we were told that the landlord would not renew the THEO lease in June 2020. Without any advanced warning, things unexpectedly changed in December 2019 when our lease was renewed until June 30, 2023. Until then, THEO will continue to host classes from our 11,000 square foot building at 1301 Custer Road, Suite 616, Plano, TX 75075.
The 2019-2020 school year only became more unique when the building had to be closed due to the State of Texas shelter in place orders in early March 2020. THEO students never returned after spring break, but they took up remote learning classes on Monday, March 23 when classes resumed.
It is unclear what the fall will look like for students around the world, but THEO teachers are preparing for classes – regardless. They are eager to see our precious THEO students in person on August 17, 2020 when the fall semester is slated to begin. What did President Eisenhower say? ” It is useless to plan but planning is indispensable.” THEO teachers agree with Ike. They are planning for classes to resume in the fall of 2020 whether by remote learning or in class learning.
In the meantime, the THEO Board continues to hold the THEO Building Fund open and ready for contributions. No one knows the future, but our THEO teachers have become so adept at teaching remotely that we wonder what the Lord is doing.
