Teresa is thankful God opened the door to be a part of supporting homeschool families, as she homeschooled her sons as well. A newbie Texan having recently moved to Plano from Oregon where she lived her entire life, Teresa and her husband felt God’s strong leading to move in order to be closer to their 2 sons who both serve in ministry and their young families. They have 5 amazing grandchildren and can’t wait to live life side by side rather than through FaceTime!

To make the transition to Texas, Teresa resigned from the Oregon private Christian School that she directed for the last 7 years. Prior to that directorship, she taught Kindergarten and directed another private school for 15 years! She homeschooled both of their sons through high school and led the area parent co-op group, as well as taught classes for homeschoolers.

Vicki directs THEO’s Friday Adventures program for K-5th graders while also teaching across multiple age levels from elementary through high school.

McKenna Masters

McKenna is a THEO student who loves all things music and theatre. “I am thrilled to see what God is going to do in this class this year.”

New to the THEO Friday Adventures teaching staff in 2022, McKenna co-teaches the music and movement class at Friday Adventures.

Amanda Redding

Amanda has had a diverse and exciting experience in education and is thrilled to continue the journey as a teacher at THEO.

As a student, she attended private and public schools, and was homeschooled from 3rd-8th grade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in Library Science from UNT (obtained largely through online work way back in 2012 before online classes were as prolific as they are now).

As a teacher, Amanda has taught in public school and homeschool co-ops, worked as a private tutor, and homeschooled her own children from pre-k through eighth grade. They’ve even enjoyed roadschooling alongside remote work for a few years! “I am blessed to have seen so much during my twenty years in education, and I’m ready to continue that work with THEO.”

Family:

Amanda’s husband Kelly and she have been married for 21 years and have two children in high school (Rachel) and middle school (Travis). They are still homeschooling and plan to go all the way to graduation. “We love playing games, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying stories together through books, tv, and movies.”
