Our Story

Homeschooling is one of the most rewarding decisions you can make for your family—but it’s not always easy. That’s why THEO exists.

Since 2006, THEO has been the trusted partner for Christian homeschool families who want to provide excellent education without sacrificing precious family relationships. What began as a vision to support homeschooling parents has grown into a thriving community of over 190+ courses, experienced Christian educators, and families who’ve discovered that you don’t have to do it all alone.

We understand the pressure you face. The late nights, wondering if you’re qualified to teach algebra. The worry about college transcripts. The exhaustion of trying to be everything for your child. We’ve walked alongside thousands of families facing these same challenges, and we’ve seen them transform from overwhelmed to equipped, from isolated to connected, from anxious to confident.

At THEO, we believe homeschooling works best when parents and educators work together. That’s why we offer flexible, à la carte classes that give your child expert instruction in the areas you find most challenging—while giving you confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.

Our History

Homeschooling works—and thousands of home-educated students graduate each year to make a difference in their communities. But we also know homeschooling is hard work for any parent, despite their commitment, discipline, or talent. Teaching multiple grades and multiple subjects is possible, but it’s also draining for even the most disciplined parent. That’s why THEO exists.
THEO was established in the fall of 2006 as The Home Educator’s Outsourcing Solution, LLC, founded on the belief that parents should be in charge of their children’s education while having access to quality academic support. In 2017, THEO transitioned to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, THEO Christian Solution, Inc., managed by a board of directors. Despite this organizational change, our mission remains unchanged: to promote home education by coming alongside local families with excellent classes, experienced teachers, and a supportive Christian community.
THEO annually serves approximately 500 home-educating families in North Texas, helping them achieve their goals of strong academics in a Christ-centered environment where parents remain in charge.
During 2020, as more families chose home education, THEO’s teachers and board determined to use our resources to assist those families as much as possible. We piloted our first Academic Adventures class for grades 4–6 with eight students, and both teachers and students had so much fun while learning that we’ve continued to expand. Today, THEO offers Academic Adventures for grades 1–6, alongside our traditional THEO Classes and Friday Adventures programs.

If you and your children are flourishing without any help from THEO, Godspeed to you. We congratulate you on your decision to home-educate your children. We congratulate you on your wisdom to invest your time in the most worthwhile cause your children. Cherish the moments you have with them because life goes by so fast. Homeschooling a child for twelve years sounds like a long time, but when it’s over, the years will have rushed by like a flood.
Enjoy this moment! Make a memory in your home with your child today! And may God richly bless you, your children, and your homeschool.
