Personal
Married to my faithful husband, Tim, since 1987. We met as public school teachers at Richardson Jr. High, but somehow always felt led to home school our own 6 children. We started the journey taking it one year at a time. I had no idea that I would home school for 26 years! That seems crazy, but it is something that we do not regret in any way! There is not enough space (even on the web) to write all the lessons I have learned raising and educating my children—every one of them unique with their own gifts and challenges which stretched me and showed me my own areas of growth in the Lord that needed to be addressed.
By the grace of God, five of our children are grown, married and serving in their own communities and churches. The baby is beginning college and we are looking forward to seeing where the Lord leads him in the coming years.
I have always had a teacher’s heart. There has not been a time in my life when I wasn’t teaching. God continues to bring opportunities to show His Love and His Hand in creation to others. I especially love teaching science to all ages. It seems the perfect place to let His light shine through me.
