Graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, I began as a preschool teacher and then transitioned to director of a preschool co-op in Richardson.   God has blessed me with the opportunity to work in education for many years.    After the preschool, I served as a teaching librarian in private elementary schools for children aged preschool through eighth grade, and most recently served as a librarian in a private all-girls high school.  I have taught my writing course for several years and am thrilled to bring it to students at THEO.  I believe in providing a positive environment where students feel safe to explore their talents, are comfortable with making mistakes as a part of the learning process, and have the courage to challenge themselves.
